Summer of Salt opens Goodreads in a new tab

The Summer women of Fennelly Island have always been blessed with magic, and hexed with a curse that makes the men they love die young. Georgina Fernsby is the youngest of the line, and when her sister Mary goes missing, Georgina must face the island's secrets. Katrina Leno's young adult novel blends magical realism with mystery, family history, and a first love in a lush, haunting setting.
