My thoughts
3.75/5star This book is a hit or miss for almost everyone? and it was the former for me, first ever riley sager book and i was absolutely in love with the whole atmosphere, the descriptions the setup: loved it. Tho the ending was a little eh, not upto the mark but i can overlook it for the amazing build up and execution. People do say that this is the least popular one of the author's works so i'm just gonna go ahead and read all the other three as well. One time is an anomaly. Two times is a coincidence. Three times is proof. what I really loved about the book was not so much the ending but the fact that it had multiple things going on and like till the very best we didn't necessarily know who did it. So that kept me on edge all the time. There are obviously some content warnings for satanism, graphic descriptions of murder, gore, blood etc etc. Do look into that before going into this one but yes overall it was a good mystery thriller. Def a hit. Because that's how I feel. Like I'm perched on the edge of a great chasm, waiting for the slightest breeze to shove me screaming into it
