My thoughts

2/5 wtf just happened here stars Um, what the fuck is this, please? This makes no sense. This is coy and this is willfully obscure and no one but the author will ever get this […] spoiled, fragmented, lazy, pretentious […] And then I feel like screaming JUST SAY IT. TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED. TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK THIS MEANS AND WHAT YOU DID WITH HIM EXACTLY. this quote from the book accurately describes how I felt reading this for like 95% of the time. I want to be the person who likes such bizarre books and I want to be able to give a comprehensive review for this book but honestly? I DON'T KNOW. I do't know what the fuck did I read, I don't know what happened I don't know what actually happened and what was inside the protagonist's head. I think the best description I can come up for this is, hear me out: R- rated version of Mean girls meets The secret history meets Heathers meets The craft but written by Stephen King and that still doesn't encompass all of the weirdness of this book. The entire time, I kid you not THE ENTIRE FUCKING TIME I was reading this I HAD NO FREAKING IDEA WTF WAS GOING ON, NOT A SINGLE CLUE at all. Did I like the book you ask? NO. Did I like the experience of reading it? YES. HELL YES. I have to give credit where it's due, this author is really fucking talented. the way they managed to make me read a wholeass book without comprehending even 10% of it: WOW. But if you do like pretentious people in cliques and sacrificial cults getting their MFAs in writing and exploding heads and what the fuck just happened moments twice in a page: this is for you.
