My thoughts

4.5/5stars I don't get why a person's smile is considered attractive when someone smiles, they're showing their skeleton. Horribly vivid. Disturbing. Visceral. Disgusting. Ugly. Relentless. Grotesque. Horrifying. Vile. Provocative. And I can go on and on with the adjectives describing this book but it would do no justice. No review/rating system could ever do justice to this work because it just doesn't fit in the usual system of it. BUT did I still love it? Absolute-fucking-ly Will I recommend it to people? Not really, it has all sorts of Content Warnings one could think of related to cannibalism and body gore. We are the worst kind of vermin, destroying our planet, starving our fellow man. Obviously the premise is hypothetical, it IS a work of fiction afterall. But it does have a very close semblance to the real world and the things happening right now. Is it a 100% accurate/possible? Maybe not. But we cannot deny it just MIGHT be. We need to take a moment to think of our actions considering the premise of this book. No one can call them humans because that would mean giving them an identity. They call them product, or meat, or food. Except for him; he would prefer not to have to call them by any name. The ending of the book did take me by surprise. I mean I should have seen it coming considering how this book does revolve around the basic human nature. was it really a good ending tho? he was afterall shown as the one(1) person who had a good heart and we did not expect him to make the flip and kill her after childbirth, I'm not sure if I liked that ending but yeah Over all tho, it is definitely a book that is gonna stay with me for a long long time and I do look forward to reading more of [a:Agustina Bazterrica|17772202|Agustina Bazterrica|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1547145358p2/17772202.jpg]'s works. I love myself nothing more than a fierce strong female author! would highly suggest the same to everyone. His father is a person of integrity, that’s why he went crazy. CWs for the book: implied violence against children, violence against women, violence against animals, rape, murder, eugenics, cannibalism. If you're easily squeamish, please skip this book. Definitely very graphic and gore, take these warnings seriously
