My thoughts

3.5/5 stars did i get the your name-esque magical realism tear-jerking story i was promised? yes i did. do i still feel a lack of sorts after reading this? yes i do. is it my hormones making my emotions go on a roller coaster right now? maybe. but a solid 3.5 to this for making me cry at two separate occasions. although i do have to point out that even tho everyone and their mom has been comparing this to the Japanese movie "Your Name" i don't see alot in common except for the drizzle of magical realism. This story's characters lack a similar depth and the plot seems to be going a lot of places which was difficult to neatly tie up in a pretty bow at the end. So, let's maybe not compare it to something it has limited similarities with and just appreciate it for the tear-jerking capability lol. oh and the cover? chef's kiss!
