Piranesi opens Goodreads in a new tab

Susanna Clarke

Piranesi's house is no ordinary building: its rooms are infinite, its corridors endless, its walls lined with thousands upon thousands of statues, every one different from all the others. Within the labyrinth, clouds fill the topmost halls and tides flood the lower ones. Piranesi is content to live in the House and explore its wonders, until messages begin to appear and a mystery starts to unravel. Winner of the Women's Prize for Fiction.

My thoughts

no words just 🤯🤯🤯 this is so worth the hype lmao and PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP when you don't understand anything for the first couple of pages (the protagonist is clueless so is the reader) but after the first 60-70 pages IT IS SO WORTH THE WAIT. highly recommend!
