My thoughts

4/5stars But sometimes remembering isn’t for yourself, sometimes you do it just to make someone else smile. A general problem I have with most modern mystery thrillers is the number of plotlines they keep active to have that one last "gotcha, you didn't see this coming" moment with the reader. Hell yes, we didn't you're like 200 miles from where you started. I kinda felt that way with this one too but like not SO SO much, I guess. I did figure one of the reveals pretty early on (c'mon that one was so obvious :P) but the last 10-20 pages did take me by surprise. I DID NOT AT ALL SEE THAT ONE COMING. Overall a fairly enjoyable thriller, I was hooked from beginning to the end. And even figuring out the whodunnit did not spoil the journey for me. The only nagging point was for the multiple plots thing I guess. Would still, read the sequel. Book Trigger Warnings: Animal death (dog), Bullying, Cheating (implied), Death of a parent (mentioned), Death threats, Disordered eating (mentioned), Drug abuse, Drugging, Drug use, Injury, Kidnapping, Murder, Profanity, Psychological abuse (parental), Racism, Rape (mentioned), Self-harm (mentioned), Suicide (mentioned), Sexual assault (mentioned), Statutory rape (mentioned), Verbal abuse, Underage drinking
