My thoughts

4.5/5 🌟 not to promote tropification of books but this is the best way i can describe this book- knives out x aot x sherlock in a FANTASY setting. consider me SOLD!! saw this book on a lot of booktubers i trust reccs list so i had to give it a try. went in absolutely blind and oh boy was I pleasantly surprised. so this is basically a mystery thriller set in a fantasy world and the magic system is so intricately woven into the solving of this mystery that it feels natural rather than info-dumpey learning about it unlike some fantasy books. rounded up to 5 🌟 just because i actually chuckled a couple of times listening to the audiobook- 10/10 absolutely fun vibes, this book isn’t trying too hard and i had fun. will def recommend and will be checking out more books by the author!
