Mexican Gothic opens Goodreads in a new tab

My thoughts

3/5stars the vibes were immaculate, the setting-perfect but the characters felt hollow and i kinda sorta don't like the climax?? i mean,, it's a good buildup (ngl, gave me the chills multiple times during the night) but it could have been ended better i think. still a decent book I'd say. “The world might indeed be a cursed circle; the snake swallowed its tail and there could be no end, only an eternal ruination and endless devouring.” Oh, and I think I really like gothic books, gonna try more of them now! Book Trigger Warnings: sexual assault, incest, murder, cannibalism, death of parent, death of children, stillbirth, miscarriage.
