why did i even bother with tiktok romcom suggestions? this was such a mid book with an over the top, in your face swoony fmc who is so unserious about her job and fawning over the mmc from the moment his character is introduced like ma’am you’re a professional bodyguard get it together ffs? the premise was really cool but the execution fell short and all the villains were so over the top yet again and the ending (esp. the epilogue) was so arduous and mid. i was here for a fun time but fun times weren’t here for me with this one, i am afraid 😩
