The Time Traveler's Wife opens Goodreads in a new tab

Henry DeTamble is a dashing, adventuresome librarian who travels involuntarily through time. Clare Abshire is an artist whose life follows a natural sequential course. Henry has Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his past and future. They have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six, and were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry thirty-one. Told from both points of view, it is a passionate love story about a marriage threatened by something neither can prevent or control.
