My thoughts

first half of this book was so so good it had me deciding to stay up all night wanting to read more- but it only went downhill from there. i know the girlies love a miscommunication trope but when it LITERALLY occupies like 65-70% of the book’s content it gets a little exhausting. 10/10 absolutely no notes for the anxiety representation with jacob’s character though. midway through it i literally wanted to dnf but i had already committed- it was 4AM and i was too far in to stop so i persevered only for that third act BS almost breakup oh lord. and the way fmc’s past miscarriage trauma was literally randomly just dropped like lore? also not enough people are talking about this- but you know how when you are reading a book (even if a contemporary romance) and you seem some blatant pop culture references- it puts you off/out of the story immediately? yeah that happens about 17 different times here and it pissed me off so much gosh. like authors please stop mentioning tiktok and andrew tate in your books just pls.
