My thoughts

support women’s wrongs more than their rights always! my first ever alice feeney book and okaaay girl cook!! yeah the prose isn’t something to write home about (who even starts a mystery thriller expecting lit fic writing anyway?) but it’s definitely a page turner. exactly the kind of unputdownable book you choose when you are in a reading slump/trying to get out of one. mind you, i have intentionally avoided reading this author’s works- despite seeing them all over because of mixed reviews but i am glad i picked it up and finished it in a single sitting of 3 hours lol. for a seasoned mystery/thriller reader you might have somewhat seen the ending coming but i still can confidently say she definitely got you with one of the three spoiler-y bits. hence the 4 🌟 instead of the bang average 3 🌟. will definitely be picking up more books by the author in hopes of finding similar quick-to-read stories!!
