Hell House opens Goodreads in a new tab

My thoughts

maybe staying up late at night reading a haunted house story while being completely alone in the pitch black darkness of my room wasn’t my brightest idea- but hey, at least i finished this book and managed to get an early morning workout in (due to lack of sleep but we won’t talk about that) this is an eerie unputdownable buildup of all your worst nightmares come true. and the healthy sprinkle of gore and violence and depravity just added to it. i don’t usually tend to enjoy a lot of haunting house stories due to repetitiveness of the tropes but this is an OG masterpiece for a reason. 4/5 would absolutely wanna check out other works from the author!
