Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men opens Goodreads in a new tab
Caroline Criado Pérez
An eye-opening account of the way women have been sabotaged by gender bias in everyday design. Data fails to take into account the fact that women are not men, treating men as the default and women as atypical, which bakes bias and discrimination into systems. Caroline Criado Perez investigates the root cause of gender inequality by looking at women's lives at home, in the workplace, the public square and the doctor's office, drawing on hundreds of studies in a groundbreaking exposé.

My thoughts
every man should read this. even when you think, how can you bring sexism into this- the data proves that it does indeed relate. although, most of the data is sparse and outdated (no points for guessing why) it is still such an eye opener!
