Julie Chan is Dead opens Goodreads in a new tab

My thoughts

did i actually just read a good mystery/thriller novel after so long finally or is it just feeling insanely good to me because i haven’t actually read anything in ages? we will probably never know. what i do know is that this book is bizarre. bonkers. bananas even. and i loved every page of it. what starts of as your average satirical dark comedy premise of the critique of influencer culture very soon diverges into the most unhinged Bunny (by Mona Awad) esque levels of insanity. all the characters are just plain insufferable and you keep saying “what the fuck” every page. but you’re locked the fuck in and you finish the whole book in 2 hours, no complaints at all. 5/5 unhinged fucking 🌟
