The Jasad Heir (The Scorched Throne, #1) opens Goodreads in a new tab
Sara Hashem
Ten years ago the kingdom of Jasad burned, its magic outlawed and its royal family murdered. At least, that is what Sylvia wants people to believe. The Heir of Jasad escaped the massacre and intends to stay hidden, but a moment of anger changes everything. When Arin, the Nizahl Heir, tracks a group of Jasadi rebels to her village, Sylvia accidentally reveals her magic and captures his attention. Now she must make a deal with her greatest enemy: help him hunt the rebels in exchange for her life. An Egyptian-inspired fantasy with slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance.

My thoughts
a tried and tested formula with more than enough political intrigue and true enemies to lovers!!! i definitely need to read up more on the Egyptian history but damn this was a good read!
