Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers (Vera Wong #1) opens Goodreads in a new tab

Vera Wong is a lonely woman of a certain age who lives above her forgotten tea shop in the middle of San Francisco's Chinatown, and who loves a bit of detective work on the internet. One morning she finds a dead man in her tea shop with a flash drive in his hand. She calls the police but, confident she can do a better job, takes the flash drive before they arrive. Sure the killer will return for it, Vera sets up her shop to identify the murderer among her customers, but she does not expect to form friendships with them.
