Dissection of a Murder opens Goodreads in a new tab
Jo Murray
Leila Reynolds, an up-and-coming barrister in Durham, is handed her first murder case: the killing of a respected Crown Court judge. The defendant, club bouncer and ex-con Jack Millman, specifically asks for her, yet refuses to tell her anything before trial. Leila must investigate herself, gathering evidence and witness statements, while the prosecutor facing her in court is her husband and former mentor, Julian, who has been acting suspiciously. As anonymous threats arrive from someone who knows her every move, explosive secrets from her own past begin to surface.

My thoughts
4.5/5 🌟 a thriller hasn’t taken me by surprise in a long long while. which honestly props to this one- for a debut author to have me jaw slacked just gaping at the pages was definitely a feat. i did figure some things out along the way but the pace was still pretty good and the ending. oh my gosh. i thought it was over but it really wasn’t, was it? damn i now suddenly LOVE court room thrillers and i HAVE to read more of them ASAP!
