Darling Girls opens Goodreads in a new tab

Sally Hepworth

Jessica, Norah and Alicia were rescued from family tragedies as young girls and raised by their foster mother, Miss Fairchild, on an idyllic farming estate. But their childhood was no fairy tale: Miss Fairchild had rules, was unpredictable and was never to be crossed. In a moment of desperation the three broke away and thought they were free. Twenty-five years later a body is discovered under the home they grew up in, and the foster sisters are thrust into the spotlight as key witnesses, or prime suspects. A page-turner of sisterhood, secrets, love and murder.

My thoughts

this was my first book by the author and ykw i am starting to see the hype. this was an enrapturing experience- the past catching up to the present timeline. and i was very interested to see what was going on in the three women’s lives too. and while i had an inkling the ending would be that, it was still a good ending!
