The Witch's Heart opens Goodreads in a new tab
Genevieve Gornichec
Angrboda's story begins with a burning, a punishment from Odin for refusing to share her knowledge of the future, which leaves her injured and powerless. Found in a remote forest by Loki, she falls deeply in love with him, and they have three unusual children, each with a secret destiny. As she slowly recovers her prophetic powers, she learns that her life, and possibly all of existence, is in danger. A retelling of Norse myth from the perspective of its women.

My thoughts
retelling of norse mythology- it is very madelline miller- esque and while i can see the comparison (for why it’d be popular with a certain crowd) i do think it is a good book to dip your toes into this world. some quirks of the fmc annoyed me to my wits ends but overall the book was quite a lovely reading experience and makes me wanna go back and read norse mythology by gaiman!
